The Haut Company
The Haut Company is a natural, vegan skincare brand selling across international markets, best known for their popular reusable eye pads. By the time they came to us, they had a store with real potential: a strong product, a growing audience, and genuine demand. But the numbers told a different story. Traffic was coming in and not converting, and customers were struggling to find their way from the homepage to the product pages that mattered.
The problem wasn't the product, it was the journey. Visitors were landing on the store, losing their way, and leaving before they'd had a proper chance to understand what The Haut Company were offering. For a brand competing in a crowded skincare market, every lost visitor is a lost customer. With Black Friday on the horizon, the cost of an underperforming store was about to get significantly higher.
We started with a full site audit, examining the store through the lens of a potential customer. Rather than a technical review in isolation, we looked at every step of the purchase journey: how easy it was to discover products, understand their value, and complete a purchase with confidence. The audit produced a clear set of prioritised recommendations covering UX, conversion friction points, and navigation improvements. Critically, rather than handing over a document and stepping away, we implemented those changes directly, ensuring every improvement was executed properly rather than left to interpretation.
Alongside the audit work, we designed and built a custom bundle builder page. Bundles are a well-established way to increase average order value, but only when the experience feels intuitive rather than clunky. The goal was to give customers a streamlined way to mix and match products into a personalised order, something that felt like a natural part of the store rather than a bolted-on extra. It also served a second purpose: by giving customers a dedicated space to explore and build their own order, it kept them engaged on the page longer, reducing the navigation drop-off that had been costing The Haut Company customers in the first place.
